So remember how Jen went to Florida, Matt went to Canada, but had a car. Yeah that was cool. Remember how I am in Russia. . . I mean Romania and how it snowed like 2 feet and everything iced over. Also how I walk everywhere. Yeah, how did that happen? So it was really cold. But that's okay. Winter here is nothing like Provo, just in case you are wondering. It is interesting.

Shout Out: Ashley Page I love you! Your letter made my day :) Thank you so much! I miss you and hope school is going great.
Tatiana: Love you. Thanks for the email! I really appreciate it.

I don't have much time, but this week was cold but it went well. Thank you for all your love and support. Keep up the great work. Just take life one day at a time and enjoy the ride.

Love,
Krissy

Guess what! It snowed last week and Saturday and Sunday. The snow makes things a little more tricky to walk around in, especially since it ices over really quickly. But life it great. First I have been forgetting to thank those in my home ward for all the Christmas letters. I got them about 2 weeks ago and they just made my day. So thank you so much! Next- Thanks John for the lovely handwritten letter. Also the fact that you love Doctor Who makes me really happy. :)

So this week went really well. We had a lot of first lessons as well as beginning lessons. I had a really cool experience at the home of a family we are working with. It was one of those days when I really just could not understand anything that anyone was saying. So I decided to just follow the promptings of the Spirit and say what I felt they needed to hear. After the lesson I asked Sora Atkins if what I said went along with what they had to say and she said it was perfect and that my grammar was better than she had ever heard it. I was in no ways perfect but at the same time I knew that they needed to hear the things I was saying. I think this will help greatly in future lessons and they are willing to keep hearing our lessons. They Lord has definitely blessed our companionship with the ability to get the important things across so that others can feel the Spirit and know what we are saying is true.

I love being here and learning all the time. I definitely miss some of the things I am used to back home (like understanding what people are trying to tell me) but the good definitely outweighs the bad. Plus they just got Dr. Pepper here. I'm not going to lie, seeing that made me really happy. Who knows, maybe they will get real peanut butter soon, or chocolate chips, or brown sugar haha. The possibilities are endless.

So funny story:
We met a woman on a tramvai a few weeks ago and invited her to the English class, she was a little odd but this is Romania and everything is a little different than we are used to. So she came and she just loves Sora Atkins, so we asked to have a lesson with her. The lesson went well, I would say, and then I was going to close with a prayer. She wouldn't let me, she said she had an impression that I had something wrong with my heart so she asked Sora Atkins to do it. So being as news flies super fast in my district, I told Elder Cooper (DL) about it and by the time I got home Elder Pettit (ZL) called to make sure I was okay. Sometimes I feel like news flies faster between the Elders than the Sisters haha. When we went to have another lesson with her she asked if I was in the hospital. Sora Atkins tried to explain that I was healthy but then she said she knew our church wasn't true and so we just kind of said goodbye and were really confused.

That is pretty much our life. Since we can't understand everything people tell us we sometimes have trouble discerning who is actually interested in our message, or who is a little off. But everyday gets better.

So last week for P-day we went and played laser tag. It was epic. I got first place for girls the first time and second the second game (out of 4 so not great but not bad either). Today we are having a BBQ on the other side of Buc. It will be a lot of fun. I love the missionaries here. We all have these quirks, but we all get along and always have fun when we are together.

Well I have to go. I love you all.

This week we are exhausted. We have been running all over the city to advertise for English classes and to meet with people. We have been bunged a lot but that is okay. We always find other useful things to do. First off Shout Outs: Thank you to John once again your emails make me smile every week. Next Alicia Draper!!! You are married! Thanks for you pictures. You look so grown up and beautiful. I wish I could have been there but I did like scream when I saw the pictures. The other missionaries gave me funny looks haha. I love you and I am so happy for you. I believe I sent the letter to your new house/apartment.

Next, so there are riots here because the president was caught doing some stuff. We are safe but still really excited that we get to be here when history happens.

Since I am like out of time I will sum up with missionary stuff. We have done a lot of contacting this week. We are also working with a family here that is great. A lot of them are searching for answers which is really cool. I feel really blessed to meet them and to be learning from them. The grandma is hilarious and says we should get married and have babies (well kind of). But I love them. They are hard working and we are working to get them to church.

Okay love you all.

Keep being awesome!

First thank you to Shelly Orr and John Woodruff for your emails. They made me very happy. Next, this week was crazy. We had 14 lessons and got 6 new investigators all from the same family. That is awesome. I don't have much time, but things are going well here. The language is coming slowly but surely and I couldn't ask for more. This week there have been some warm days so a lot of people got their roller-blades out and hit the town. Sometimes I feel like Romania is stuck in this weird retro time warp of the 80s, 90s and now. It is quite odd but I love seeing it. It makes me very happy. I love you all. Keep being amazing.

PS The pictures are of my district last transfer, gogosi- donut things, and our district leader (Elder Cooper, Elder Ekins) and office elders (Elder Eckersley and Tefft) coming to bring us things we needed and to change our water filters because we weren't strong enough.

La Multi Ani! I hope that everyone had an amazing New Years. Ours was filled with lack of sleep and rides home from a YSA party :). Before I get to that I will go ahead and let everyone know about the rest of the week. Once again we didn't have a ton of lessons because New Years is kind of a big deal here and everyone makes food or prepares in some way for it. But we did get to meet with a lot of inactives which was cool. Anyways I got sick at the beginning of the week and it ended up getting so bad that I had to try to sleep it off. So I got 12 hours of sleep and then I was pretty much healed. That was cool. They on the 29th (or 6 month mark for Sora Atkins) her wallet got stolen on a super cramped bus heading to a slightly more ghetto side of town. It was kind of funny I will admit. So she had to go to the office and cancel her credit card. We also lost 150 lei which was a bummer, but it really wasn't that bad. After that we really just had lessons or block knocked for the rest of the week. We got an couple invitations to come back after New Years which was cool. But we don't have any new investigators. On Saturday we were invited to the YSA New Years party which had about 30 plus people at it (about 15-20 were missionaries haha). It was great and we even got pizza which was cool. Sora Atkins loves sleep so we only stayed until about 10:30 and then got a ride home from the Assistants to the President (we didn't want to have to deal with the hour long trip of going home on a night that is notorious for drunk people being out). Anyways, we tried to go right to sleep, but there was a party upstairs with lots of techno music (very common here- really all you ever hear). After that died down, there were fireworks right outside our window. Since we don't have blinds we saw every flash and heard every boom. It wasn't the best night's sleep I ever had, but it was still cool. The next day there was no one out even when we left for church that started at noon. There are still relatively few people out today, but that's okay. Maybe they will be home and will answer their doors tonight when we do more block knocking haha. Yesterday, church was only an hour and then we went to go eat at a members house in the other branch. All of the missionaries in Bucharest went (about 20 or so) and we all ate a 4 course meal that was super yummy. However something went wrong and we all had really bad nights due to food poisoning. Fun stuff. But the food was so worth it.

Oh so transfers came out. I am staying with Sora Atkins for another transfer and we are the only sisters that really are staying together. Everyone else got switched around. Elder Nelson in our district is leaving and going to Sibiu. We are getting an Elder Eaton in return which is cool. Elder Cooper is now our district leader and Elder Gunter (who was Elder Nelson's companion) is now Elder Cross's companion. It is great. I am super excited to stay in Bucharest for another transfer. I love it here. It will be such a great transfer :)

So that was my week. I hope everyone had a great week! Plus it is now 2012, when did that happen? -other than like 2 days ago haha. Anyways I love you all. Keep spreading the gospel and sharing your light.
